Online Tutoring
Interactive Online Tutoring with LessonSpace
Our online sessions take place in LessonSpace, a powerful virtual classroom designed to make learning engaging, flexible, and accessible. Each student receives their own personalized learning space where they can join live sessions, complete assignments, and revisit past work anytime.

LessonSpace includes interactive whiteboards, built-in video and chat, math and reading tools, document uploads, and collaborative editing so students stay fully engaged during every lesson. We can also record sessions upon request, giving students the ability to rewatch explanations, review problem-solving steps, and reinforce skills at their own pace.

Whether your child learns best visually, verbally, or hands-on, LessonSpace provides a smooth, user-friendly online experience that meets every learner’s needs. Students can access their space 24/7, making it easy to review, practice, and stay ahead.
Tips for Effective Online Tutoring
1. Join with a computer or iPad. Devices with larger screens make it easier to see the whiteboard, read text, and interact with tools. Phones are discouraged because the screen is too small to follow lessons effectively.

2. Use a quiet space with minimal distractions. Choose a calm area away from siblings, pets, TVs, or busy rooms. A focused environment helps students stay engaged and improves learning outcomes.

3. Have materials ready before the session. Keep pencils, paper, homework, and any required books nearby so students can jump right into learning without wasting time.

4. Limit snacking during tutoring. Eating during sessions can be distracting and slows down engagement. Encourage students to have a snack beforehand or after they finish.

5. Test your technology before the lesson starts. Make sure your Wi-Fi is strong, the device is charged, and audio/video are working. A stable connection helps sessions stay smooth and productive.

6. Use headphones if possible. Headphones reduce background noise and help students hear instructions more clearly. They also improve focus.

7. Stay seated and visible. Being in view of the camera helps with engagement and allows the tutor to check for understanding, monitor work, and guide the student.

8. Keep notifications and other apps closed. Turn off alerts and avoid multitasking. Students should not browse the internet, text, or play games during lessons.

9. Arrive on time and prepared. Logging in a couple of minutes early ensures the full session is used for learning and not troubleshooting.

10. Ask questions and participate actively The more a student interacts, the better the tutor can adjust instruction, clarify misunderstandings, and challenge the student at the right level.
